Overview

Beer Bank ("Beer Bank: Calorie Ledger" on the App Store) is a local-first iOS app. We built it so that the data you log — drinks, workouts, settings — stays on your device. We don't run accounts, we don't sync to the cloud, and we don't ask you to log in.

This policy explains exactly what data Beer Bank touches and what it doesn't.

What we collect

Effectively nothing leaves your device. Beer Bank does not have a server to receive your data, and we do not transmit your drink logs, workouts, or settings to any third party.

We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, or device identifiers.

Data stored locally on your device

The following data is stored only on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision device, in the app's private storage:

  • Drinks you log (type and calorie estimate)
  • Workouts you enter manually
  • Default preset calorie values
  • App preferences (Apple Health permission state, age-gate acknowledgement)

Deleting Beer Bank from your device deletes this data with it.

Apple HealthKit

With your permission, Beer Bank reads active energy burned from Apple Health to estimate your weekly workout calories. We request read-only access; Beer Bank never writes back to Health.

Apple Health data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers (we don't have any), and it is not shared with third parties.

You can revoke Health access at any time from Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Beer Bank. Beer Bank continues to function with manual workout entry.

Analytics

The current release of Beer Bank includes no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting services that transmit identifiable data.

If we add analytics in a future release, we will update this policy and disclose the provider before collection begins.

Third-party services

Beer Bank currently uses no third-party SDKs that collect personal data. The app integrates with Apple HealthKit, which is governed by Apple's privacy practices and runs entirely on your device.

Age requirement

Beer Bank is intended for adults aged 21 or older. The app requires a one-time age confirmation before first use. We do not knowingly collect any information from individuals under 21.

Security

Because Beer Bank does not transmit your data, the relevant security model is your device's. We recommend keeping iOS up to date and enabling a device passcode.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
